The U.S. Customs Service loves to send me press releases... they always talk about how they're part of an anti-terrorist defense operation (though, I agree with Carlos Mencia, that any ferrin terr'ists are more likely to be turned in by the Mexican indocumandados than anyone elese -- "Señor... doz guys, dey no speek Espanish!"), and... oh.. incidentally, running across the stuff Customs Agents are supposed to look out for.
The latest press release from one particularly busy crossing mostly dealt with a cocaine bust (10 pounds of the stuff) , but included the other items the USCS nabbed in the last week --- a couple thousand pounds of marijuana, several thousands in unreported currency, a few truckloads of fruits and vegetables and... a live chicken.
I'm guessing (the press release was full of the cocaine bust, and overlooked this particular threat to the land of the brave and home of the free) the chicken was one of those tasty free-range birds raised on a healthy diet of corn and bugs, not a Sanderson Farms geneticially modified frankenbird. So... maybe the bird was a threat to the 'murrican way of commerce. Still, I can't help wondering -- was this a potential terrorist chicken, or merely an illegal alien one.
Besides, it's not MEXICANS the U.S. has to worry about -- when it comes to terrorists, or chickens....

[Thanks to Richard from The Mex Files for sending this in. —The Unapologetic (but grateful) Mexican]
