The Deadly and Dangerous Encroachment of the Mexican Flag

Yeah. I was wondering how deep in the article that final line was going to be. It ended up being, well—the final line.

I mean, it's true. Who knows what would happen if the children started seeing flags like the Chinese flag, the Mexican flag, and the Russian flag while they were in Geography class? Damn. They might, like...start thinking there's other people with other beliefs and cultures on this globe! That's not good. If that happened, then the kids might actually humanize the people that live in those other countries! They might find it harder to follow a government into war against those people, should that need arise!

Or am I way off? Is the fear that the children might get hypnotized by the cilantro-like green hue of the Mexican flag; by the bone-white field with the ferocious eagle and hissing snake; by the fiery and bloodlike last third? Would they wake up hearing trumpets in the middle of the night? Suffer strange maizelike cravings? Abdicate American Ideology for one unforgettable enchilada? Withdraw all their stocksnbonds and throw them at the feet of a brownskinned girl?

You can't be too careful. That's my motto. Shit, I think even the three colors should be made illegal in combination. Hmmm. Excepting—
