AND THERE SEEMS TO BE no way to keep the truth from rising up. Corruption is a disease that all powerseekers contract, and I have no doubt whatsoever that Obrador has his own. But the more you see how many efforts have been made by those already in power to keep him from coming into power, the more you suspect that he may be a force for some common good. Because the Common Good is the one thing that many entrenched and successful rulers are afraid of. Such an agenda is hardly in line with the common greed that inhabits those on top of the heap so often.
Behind the link is an interesting news item regarding videos released about 2 1/2 years ago by Carlos Ahumada; videos intended to derail Obrador's Presidential bid. Looks to be some ties to the Mexican government, or possible evidence of their implicit approval in the dirty (but probably commonish) political tactic.
What interests me the most is that the Mexican government has been worried about Obrador for quite a while. And I'm also wondering if their filthy little façade of fairness is falling apart faster than they can handle....
