GOP: all the bad news or just bad asses?

I WROTE A LONGISH, LINKY, CLEVERESQUE post that I was bored of before I could publish it. It seemed so obvious and just plain pointless to write it. I finished it and deleted it. Yet, major sites keep reacting to Limbaugh's Overthetopness, Mehlman's intractable racism, so and so's destroying civil discourse and being a hypocrite AND a bully BUT YOU'RE JUST MAKING THEM LOOK STRONG INSTEAD OF CORRUPT and of course this is a coordinated effort to make the news about the GOPs big balls (misplaced or not) instead of their dropped balls—and now Dems are felling in line, getting back to being on the reactive foot just before the elections come but even if you're right and the GOPers are being thugs, bullies, and asses, realize that complainers always look weak, those always on tha D look weak, and nowadays cowboy macho bullshit sets the tone of who walks a line and who dares cross it so just laugh at them, point them out and barely waste contempt, but most of all DON'T GIVE THE GOP power. Don't call them out for being "bad boys," per se, or even "animals." Don't even pick something that makes them out to be aggressive, on the hunt, or tough.
Point out their flailings, casually, as that of the desperate, frantic, morally-bereft losers that they are. Stop with shock, and fake moral outrage. This is the torture crowd! Why you surprised that they don't care if Michael J Fox suffers? Stop giving them the serve.
There. Had to say it. Now go do whatever you want.
UPDATE: Billmon (as always) is a good read if you prefer the mild-to-medium heat paranoia narratives, it's true. I tend to fly right into the sizzle. (It warms me inside to imagine an opponent so very clever!)
UPDATE: Concerted effort?
UPDATE: Some innarestin words along similar lines.

kick it, ése.
