The Television Anchorman: Friend or Foe?

Categorized under Medios | Tags:

MEXICO: AMERICA'S CORRUPT NEIGHBOR. CNN reports on the efforts of 29 congressmen to appeal to Condaleeza Rice to prevent Duane "Dogg" Chapman from being extradited to Mexico to face Bounty Hunting charges (Illegal Detention and Conspiracy) for picking up Andrew Luster, Max Factor heir and rapist extraordinaire.

Now as far as the Mexican law not being overjoyed that the mulleted mutant WWF reject "Dogg" caught their crook for them...it's sort of a "don't interfere in our bizness" thing you may notice running through their laws. I think we can all agree that this filth the Dogg roped in—this 86-time rapist Andrew Luster—is far better off rotting in a cell than ever walking free again. It's not about what the Dogg caught versus what the Dogg dropped on a moral scale. It's Mexico's reflex. You'll note it in various places. Keep your nose and hands to yourself if you're a tourist, too; stay away from the protest action, for sure. They're not big on gringo intervention. Probably one of those "been there, done that" things that post colonial-oppression populations just reeeek of. Don't take it personally, Dogg.

However, I'm not sure what to tell those of Mexican descent, when it comes to these types of words:

"Mexico is not our friend. No matter what anybody tells you...."

—CNN anchormoron

Devil-land o' Mexico! Where—as Tom Tancredo (R-Colorado) notes—"everyone is on the take." The poor Dogg. What a hard row he hoed. Even the policemen were afraid to escort him to jail! That's how lawless it is in Mexico. Almost like Iraq! (Better hurry up on that fence!)

Closing up today's lesson on the land of your fathers, we also learn here, muchachos y muchachas, that Mexico is "A FOE." That's right! It's finally cleared up. Just busted out asked and answered type of Taken Care Of. I'm not sure what to think about that one. I was like...A FOE? Word? Just...straightup across the board, cut-n-dry-across-tha-ticker type of thing? FOE?

Think it over, Cheery Anchorsneery Mexleery! Yes, Mexico sometimes thinks for itself. Yes, we may not always agree with the decisions another sovereign nation makes. But y'ought notta be callin' an entire country an enemy so quickly. Before you know it, people forget about reasonable value judgments we can All Agree On. Start thinking in similar terms as yours. Shorthand terms. Black and white terms. Faux-terms. And don't you have enough foes right now? Do you really want more?

White Europeans had no right to invade this continent and murder so many Indians. Mexicans are indians who have been on this continent longer than the lifespan of ten "Americas." Go study some history, güero, and brush up on your English spelling while you're at it. You are a guest here, and your ancestors were not very polite. Maybe you can make up for it by acting a little kinder, eh?

All you so called Americans also invaded this country. Your ancestors come from other countries and then killed the indians. Did you know that California and Texas used to belong to Mexico. Well now you do so don't complain because you don't belong here either! just because you are born here anyone can be born here so stop being so racist!
