• LIVEBLOGGING FROM THE LINUXBOX he thought, as he tried to ignore the trembling in his fingers, the quaking that a dropping blood sugar brought to his frame, he listened for the spattrin of the eggs and thought of his dead abuelo, who had given his feet up to the saw-maw of diabetes before it swallowed him from the world and mexicans are genetically predisposed to diabetes he thought and smiled as he added "lucky me that there is no such thing as Race"

pero los huevos will come, will be done, the blood be fed, infuse a rain-soaked sun and winter is unfolding in the pacific northwest like a sleeve of brash water in the mossy wake of a hail-trailed autumn. and this time next year i promise to be, my good sur, a bit further from hurrr, a bit souther from hyar, a state or two closer to elsolular-thar.

• esta es una ultima semana para mis clases de espanol. at least until enero. if i can skwerl away a few dolares, i will lunge into the college, b'cuz i humbly acknowledge sire i believe i do require a heavier intoxification of indoctrination, some long and solid horas, porque es dificil aprender at the rate for which i'd care, and left to my own inglestic devices and an english-conversin environment 6 dias de la semana i'll move at the rate of a somewhat-sedate llama. y yo no tengo mi normal keyboard, so i can't deliver diacriticals pero i hope ustedes comprenden what's critical!

• the janitors fighting the good fight and winning. i'm very happy about this. have not blogged on it. but it's making the rounds, doesnt need me to help it, and everyone who reads here knows my feelings on certain things, i think. i'm just thrilled that people are acting, are getting together and showing numbers, wasn't that the idea "We are the People?" so it's so groovy to see. i'm feelin good that it is being resolved so quickly and well, from what i've read. i mean, you know. aside from a gang of armed marauders using horses to stomp on poor laborers as they demonstrated for better working conditions and wages.

• i lurve reading the thanksygiving columns on how "we are a country that has overcome monarchial [sic] rule [hi Dubya, Gonzo, and Yoo], revolution [que tal, fenced-in Free Speech Area and shouts out to PIER 57 yo!], slavery [damn straight, turn that shit upside down and stick a fork in it, it's done!], mistreatment of Indians [koffabramoffkoff], robber baron capitalism [ROTFLMFAO, sup status quo], class strife [stomp the poor who strife-out with clusters of horses!], two world wars [big ups from chivaland-afghanistan and anti-caliphated baghdad, dad], segregation [when you find a new bus to ride, Call Me!], discrimination against women and gays [a big wutWUT goin out to the fundies and their fingaz in today's political pie as well as Johnny McCain lookin to tip over roe v wade, HI!], and crippling depressions [Katrina says to say Hey, and 'We're savin' so much, we're drowning in prosperity!]." mmmm. vato, just pass the gravied cranberry candied birdwing and STFU, thnx. ai yi yi. America! Look at her, even now, straining to preen, so delusional, her puckering obscene. Yeah, keep on juggling that stinking ham with the greening, patriotic sheen. America! The land of the cognitively dissonant and haunted heroine with her buried history, the beauty queen burnishing her blemishes, big-mouthed and brash, bullying her (brown) bogeymen but clinging to a distorted mirror image like a reverse-anorectic nursing some wasting notion of grand Neocolonial Bullshit, but at least she's a fat little sucker, well-fed and grateful for it.

Or at least well-fed...

I'm very grateful. For family, friends, and food. Grateful that I can see, that I can move well, am healthy, can feel joy...I mean, I could go on all day. But none of it has a thing to do with some predictable portion of tofu-turkey nationalistic propaganda prattle. Please! Get your confetti off my damn plato. It may taste like sugar to you, pilgrim; to me it's just more macaca.

• disfruten manana!
