DEPENDING ON HOW LONG MY COMPUTER stays on this time, this may be my last post until I can afford to get it out of the shop. Due to recent (further) computer developments (this a.m.) which I will omit for speed's sake [update: basically it keeps shutting off, sometimes won't start up for more than a few secs than shuts off, getting worse and worse sometimes stays on for a while, but more off than on at this point, and that's bad for a computer anyway to keep crashing the magnets into the drive], I can't use this computer anymore until it is repaired. I can't post without it (por ejemplo en la biblioteca), as I don't have my pws, URLs to even login, etc. I'm not sure how long I'll need to leave it in the shop, which is unsettling. I'm pretty much broke due to the fact that while I do scrape by with freelance work, much of the art/webwork and writing I've done—even for others lately—has been for free. (También, my steadily bankrupting publisher has not paid me un centavo since my original advance, and they are in litigation with half a dozen authors and ex-employees trying to avoid paying out, so I don't think I'll see any royalties from them anytime soon.) Unfortunately, I never keep a "safety net" amount on the side. I've never seemed to have enough to let money sit. And I make my money on the computer, so this throws a wrench in things!
I will have to seek out a temporary yard job or something. Which is fine. Let's just hope a lot of people are looking for a hired hand to mind their wet, wilting grass (Winter in my area). Or even one! I did want to post a note here so nobody thought I gave in to my urges and joined the Resistance, but as I am pretty sure my readership here is as broke as I am (mas o menos), I won't harangue you for help. However, the link is there on the sidebar just in case you happen to step on an extra C-note on your way to work and feel the desire to spread the wealth, as well as speed Nezua Limón's return. Perhaps a special dance in the moonlight will help, as well. So you may want to give that a try.
Otherwise, The Unapologetic Mexican must fall silent for a bit. But regresa, or mind your RSS feed. He'll be back. It takes a lot more than a pouty computer to shut this cabrón up.
UPDATE: Hey, hey, hey! Good news.

kick it, ése.
