Dis Unity and the Stolen Crown
Categorized under Política México | Tags: Calderon
THOSE FIERY AND PASSIONATE Mexicans are at it again! Doing that damn "put your body where your beliefs are" thing! The Mexican congress actually got into a physical situation, the right-wing PAN (National Action Party) faction terrified that the PRI (Party of the Democratic Revolution) will block the inauguration of (Stolen Presidency Candidate) Felipe Calderón and embarrass has illegitimate ass, just like they did to Vicente Fox on Sept 1 of this year when, for the first time in Mexican history, the outgoing President was denied his platform for making his State of the Union speech.
This says a lot about the state that Mexico's union is in.
Last week, López Obrador declared himself the "legitimate president" of Mexico, strapped on his own presidential sash and began making plans for a "parallel" government. His supporters are planning a massive protest in Mexico City's central square, or Zocalo, to coincide with the inauguration Friday."
--Fistfights break out in Mexican Congress over inauguration of president, Nation & World
Neither this violence that is tearing at the Mexican Government nor the planned confrontation by Lopez Obrador bodes well for Calderón's rule. And I, for one, am glad. With his selection of Francisco Ramirez Acuña, oppression of those who dare to question el gobierno will only increase. The police state mentality (that is growing so popular in America) will continue to infect the fearful, evil minds of those who wish to lead, those not chosen by the People, but by corrupt courts stacked in favor of the incoming Ladrón. Bush is only one example, Calderón is another. This is the New Democracy, don't ya know? And it seems that there is some resistance to this authoritarian methodology by those who remember the quaint promises of the past. Justice...fairness....each vote counted.....
Our colleagues are going to stay there on the podium for the next 72 hours."
--PRD national leader Leonel Cota

Furthermore, despite Bush's promised presence on that unholy day of Calderón's inauguration (or perhaps in keeping with the theme of phony presidents), Felipe Calderón holding office is a violation of the voter's will, and of the justice that Mexico deserves, with her long history of political fraud and corruption. And with one more round of legitimized corruption and an installed ruler, only more chaos, bloodshed and injustice will follow.
It hurts your heart. But do not fear. The Mexican people themselves are as strong as the earth's climb toward sunrise each day; we have endured for ages. Justice, love, and fortitude are not given by a Government or a Law, but are to be found in the heart. The indigenous of this land have relied on this spiritual bedrock for a very long time. Longer than this thing called "Congress" or "Holy Religion," or "PRI" or "PAN," or this thing called "Mexico" or "America" or even "Democracy." Out from under the rule of the French colonizers we rose; on the racks and the blades of the Spanish Conquistadores we have endured; in the face of haters and spoilers and thieves who live and eat thanks to the work of Mexican@s and then deny the source of their gain, we remain proud and do not weaken; despite the many news sources and prejudices tainted against us, we endure; through the crooked rule of yesterday and through the crooked rule of today and through the crooked rule of tomorrow Mexican@s will endure. And the dark, artificial Kings of Greed will meet their fate, as well.

kick it, ése.
