Actually I am sorry to hear he is so ill, he gave the revolucion a good try but it all fell apart without the economic backup of first world countries.

Perhaps the Cubans in Miami had a hand in this, talk about cutting off your own nose to spite your face, very sad.

Communism can work, on paper that is, introducing the human factor of greed and ego what do you get? Shit.

I don't blame the average Cuban-American for the attitudes of their leaders, who live in a pro-colonial dream of Mafia milk and honey. Those mofos would screw their own grandmothers if that would get back into power in Cuba, which is what all the anti-Castro angst is all about.

I grew up around these people (many ended up in Puerto Rico, 'cause while the love to sing the praises of Uncle Sam, they still want to "Oyeme Chico!" speak Spanish. Where do you think Bacardi Rum came from?)

So what if Castro dies tomorrow? Sure Calle Ocho (Miami) and all of Guaynabo (Puerto Rico) would go bonkers for awhile, but then what? Castro has had three decades to cement his power and as long as the his succesors can play the anti-Revolution card, they got nothing to worry about.
