¡Nos llaman Mexicanos!

VIERNES. I don't know about you, but I feel like I've had a rough week, and Flamenco ain't gonna do it tonight. Here's a hardcore bout of orgullo comin' atcha from one of my regula staples, Control Machete. The song is called Humanos Mexicanos.
The tune (and band in general) is pretty in-your-face Mexican Pride, to hell with your wall, to hell with running, to hell with all this dying for you; dig, I'm descended from Pancho Villa, my turn to laugh, etc.
Ya no más voy a correr, ya no más voy a huir, ya no más voy a morir,
(somos humanos y nos llaman Mexicanos)
Somos humanos y nos llaman Mexicanos. We are human, and they call us "Mexicans." It gets loud, it's raw and it don't tiptoe. Which makes it the ideal song for this joint. It was a little too hot for my father when I sent it to him, I think. But like I said. It's been that kind of week. Este el fin de semana, pienso, will be healing. ¡Espero!
Anyway, kick that shit off with this vid that sounds as if it is going to start out with some traditional Mexican music until the beat and all the rest drops in. For such an intense song, it's a pretty funny video. I think my favorite parts are when the two hombres are doing the jump-cut sojourn across some desert, and when the vato in the cantina starts busting out the Wave. Don't even! I was laughing out loud on that one.
This seems like the most narrative and dramatized video I've seen from them. It's not the band members from what I can tell, just actors.
Enjoy your weekend, gat@s!

kick it, ése.
