OH, but the "R" word is acceptable?
Categorized under Blogando , When the Right is SO wrong | Tags: satire
WE'VE HAD IT WRONG all this time. It is not the Blacks, nor the Chinese, nor the Mexicans, the gays, the women as a group, or Muslims who have been oppressed. It is Right-leaning Libertarians! Ay Dios mio! This really clears things up. It also points the way to a new dawn of Republican Pride. Because if you think they're gonna take it anymore, well...As Thomas Jefferson often said to his chums, "this one ain't goin' down easy!"
That's right. I'm talking about that spiritual struggler, that heroine of our times, someone or other named "Dr. Helen." ( [a redacted] sombrero tip to nitpicker Blue Texan). And with her blogspotty ferocity she is telling the whole world that she's had it with being forced to the back of the front row! Sheet. She's tellin it like it IZZZZ so step back!
Many times, people mistakenly call me a Republican although I am a right-leaning libertarian. ... My question is, what if one is a Republican or right leaning. So what? Is that a crime?
—Doctor Helen
Disgusting. And who wouldn't be horribly wounded by this? Well, those days are over, son. She ain't gonna take your shame any more, cabrón! and she suggests that FINE if you are going to slurrrrrrrrr her with this, this...this "REPUBLICKIN" epithet, than dammit—she'll be a Republickin! NOW what? Hunh? Hunh? See what you get?

Dammit, it's true. We can't pretend anymore that Republicans are any different than, say...all those Mexican families that just got busted up for political purposes, workers hauled to dark sheds, fathers and mothers sent to different countries than their children, after doing just what they were hired to do, and at the end of a long history of the same shit, since the railroads were built! Same as the Republicans.! Right? Right? I mean, come on. Por ejemplo, they both drink water, they both need that water, and one of them doesn't care if it's polluted! Slam dunk. Anywaty, it goes without saying or justifying in any way by valid facts that both groups of people carry a heavy weight, face a hard struggle, and have been burdened with a long history of, well, I think Dr. Helen said it best: Oppression.
Oh wait...did I call you a "Republican?" I'm sorry. I just can't keep up with what you want to be called. Yesterday "warmonger," today "responsible agent." It's hard to keep up with the Right. Because they're so Right!
You GO, girrrl! You reclaim that nasty "R" word! Don't let them keep you down, susta! You flaunt that Red "R!" RED is beautiful! All Rs need to stick together! Letter Power, mami! Alphabet inanity and insipid lunacy, docta!

I feel just awful, as I am no doubt guilty of oppressing these downtrodden Republicans - and I didn't even know it. I would ask if there were some charity that I could donate to to assuage my guilty conscience, but see, I ended up getting a sub to this Chicano Art magazine (that rocks tha house) so I'm all tapped out an' shit.
