DANNY DEVITO GETS A BIT LIT and mocks the (illegitimate) "president" of America on television. Fox news leads the retaliation. And why? Because nothing is as disempowering as becoming someone's comic object. And if you see a leader become a laughingstock, you know his power has waned dangerously.
Bill O'Reilly insinuates that Devito was on drugs, as well as drinking (because you have to be high to have a "deep seated hatred" for a lying, warmongering, condescending, infantile, elitist, idiot manchild shit-for-brains pretender-to-the-White House, right? Anyway, I think O'reilly's right, and Devito is a bit tipsy here. I also think George W. Bush is a bit tipsy or medicated here, and here. I'd further posit that um, WHO CARES if Danny Devito is drunk on TV? He is not supposed to be representing our nation, hellllo.)
What I really find interesting, though, is that it seems O'Reilly and Bernie Goldberg are angling for turning "Irrational hate of George W. Bush" into a "racism" type thing. Neat, eh? You just never know where those crafty "Faux-pundits" will go next.
You can get this by hearing O'Reilly's "deep-seated" description of Devito's "hatred that...came out of him." It made me laugh, Oreilly's awed, fake-bewildered voice to realize such UGLEH HORRA lay in the bottom of Devito's soul. And then you hear Goldberg say that the vibe on the View show was like a "Klan meeting," which of course he follows up with "not that I'd know what that's like" or some such utterance. As if this weren't enough, he actually role-plays a Klan Meeting conversation! Surreal.
Is there a new Fox memo? Frame the natural (and beautiful) repulsion that a sane human would feel in response to such a mind-decayed, morally bankrupt, shallow, lying and negligent freak as George W Bush as "racism" outbursts? Has Fox News been inspired by how quickly the public has come down on Mel Gibson and Michael Richards for their outbursts? I can see it now. "Ah....all three people (Gibson, Richards, and Devito) are drinking alcohol, making public statements, and the country despises this so-called "racist" banter just as much as we despise hearing nasty things said about Bush! This is perfect! NEW MEMO! Disapproval of George W. Bush is the NEW RACISM!"
You can almost hear the Photoshop® cork being burnt as we speak....
I guess given how much the GOPsters actually understand their own ugly undercurrents, it makes sense that they would even attempt such a pathetic analogy/piggyback. Anti-Bush sentiment as racism. These people are simply mindblowing.
PS: I do want to see Bernie Goldberg do hard time in a Ugandan prison.
