If only sleep was the problem, I think you're looking at a permanent quarter that subsist on faith. Impervious to reason or argument, subservient to idols.
The corporate and ruling class managed to harness these rubes to control the country, they absolutely know they appeal to this fascist rump. The test of there being any democracy left is whether the Dems stop Bush.
As they say- In a Democracy there are four boxes to be used; soap, ballot, jury, and ammunition. They should be used in order.

good stuff, RickB. nice play on the "boxes."

i suppose they are not the same, as we choose faith, but sleep takes us all sooner or later despite our efforts to remain constantly awake. yet, they are both a dream of sorts. and whether someone be deep in a dream, or clinging to "faith," neither person can hear or see reason...only an ethereal world in which cold, hard, reality need not manifest.
