Los Tres Chavalitos y Santo Claus

Categorized under día festivo | Tags:

A WARM CHRISTMAS TALE from some vatos on a quest to find out the meaning of Navidad and the mystery behind...Santo Claus! No, no, not "Santa Claus," Santo Claus. Okay, it's not Christmas, but it's still fun to watch. I'm not sure how long it is, but it's more than five, maybe it's ten minutes, so play it if you got some time. But it not only has a great message that ties into indigenous concepts I often touch on—like getting away from commercialism and feeding the monster of Capitalism, getting back to the handmade/handdone, personal stylie de la corazón—but it also a number of real funny lines, and fun characters. I think of it almost like the Chican@ version of Fat Albert. You'll see what I mean.

I've done stop motion shorts and a few things like this, and I know how long it takes. Propz to tha Blue Greaser for this vid.

Sombrero tip ta Muertos!

Orale! This film was done by Kevin Vigil and Azul Mares del Grasso and their homie crew out here in Denver. the references to things and places are local ie: Chubbys, Lechuga, and N.S. Guadalupe. Talented Vat@s! They were workin' on another piece about cruising but haven't heard of the outcome.....consafos
