Sweetness and Meld

Categorized under Música | Tags: ,

TURN IT UP and get in your right mind. Just beautiful.

This a some sick spinnin' with Pachelbel's Canon in D, laid down with what I think is a Kayagum (Korean zither); some great beatbox, breakin'/floorwork, scratchin captured using some stylish camerawork and editing. A juicy little Youtubian morsel if ever there was one. Starring Zero-Nine and an amigo from Last4One.

yes, it was baaaaad ass! how do they do that!?

i think most men look funny when they dance (i know this is sexist) but break dancing rocks.

i remember bein 15 or 16 and in huge baggy bright orange pants gothic letterin kid flex on my leg...i think back and laugh. but man. i was so into that scene. so much of my dancing to this day even is built on the footwork or poppin lockin type of hipshifting of the 80s breakin scene. i think people look good dancing when they are having fun, most of the time. that's what i admire. tho i do agree that some people look more inspiring than others.

are you really takin off on the mexican granola trail?

kid flex! wow, that brings me back to lil' lulu days. sigh. i took a break dancing class once. i sucked like no one has ever sucked before!

when i was with the nahua peeps for that week or so there were these vegetarian kids who were very 'there are no granola bars here!' 'waaa waaa, i'm getting sick because the water is bad.' lulu don't play that s***. so, no, not granola trail but, yes, nez, i'm going to wander and wonder a bit.

yeah i never took no clases, but me and a friend would setup the cardboard in the garage and practice like crazy. i spent so many hours banging my body around, skinning my shoulders tryin to get the eternal windmill started...i was really into that stuff. i started back in miami, watching kids do footwork, which i took home and practiced til i could glide. once in upstate new york, it wasn't cool for my school. at that time i was in a very very white school. i think there was one black family in all the school system, and probably three latinos, my brother and i being two. i would practice at home and go out to a joint called "the place" which was a non-alcohol dance clubby type place in town, actual spinnin in shit back in 84.

enjoy the wandering, then, luisa. i'm sure it will be good for your soul. dont forget to write your family in new york. and hell, i'll eat some granola for ya. :)

Firme!....BeatBox, reminds me of the "FatBoys". That breakin' brought back memories from back in the days. I haven't seen that in a while.

Good Post Hermano!
