I agree with you nezua--the only thing that I would say tho, is that i know from my own readership, there's a lot of women who have family in those areas or who came from those areas, and to have to see this stuff without a warning is like a violation, you know? so after a lot of thought for me on my blog (which I, of course, have a different readership than you do), i decided to give warnings--but I recognize each blog is different and we all approach things in different ways. Just something that's come up for me--

when i first seen this post i first thought that a warning would have been nice as well.

with or without a warning, it makes no difference, the pictures are still disturbing.

in the end, i just think it's awfully fucking arrogant for any of us to want to turn away or ask others to dampen the pain of looking directly at the truth. in fact, that's the point of this post. i can understand not wanting to watch the hanging of saddam (i didnt), but these childrens injuries are the direct result of our actions in Iraq. nonetheless, i omitted many images which were truly shocking and stomach-upsetting.

i agree with your reasons. i would still have looked at the post either way. things like this help people remember things they would rather forget or not know.
