The Huichol Childbirth Method: Share the Pain

Categorized under Humor , Indígena | Tags: , , ,

THE HUICHOL INDIGENOUS of Mexico have an interesting way of bringing the father into the birthing experience. It is not something I think would go over huge in America. But it sure does highlight some differences in culture! This is probably work-safe, but to tell you the truth, I don't care! If you are worried about that, save it for when you get home. Or find a job that lets you do the things you clearly prefer to do over your work!

Regular visitors to this blog know how important it is for me to get in touch with my roots and antepasados. But this is one aspect of my ancestry I may just omit.

All kidding aside, I give mad propz to the women who convince their husbands to sit on the roof with ropes attached to their testicles. Serious. Don't even talk to me about men's respect for the Woman's experience in America! Wow.
