The Sinking Ship of American Illusion

Categorized under Arte , Iraq the Casbah , When the Right is SO wrong | Tags: , , , , ,

grafik by Nezua I WANT TO THANK GEORGE W BUSH for taking the ship of Republican agenda, Democratic process, and Imperialist propagandic might and blowing massive holes in all of it; for waking up the world to America's true methodology by presenting a presidency so artless in its execution of greed and violence and media manipulation—all those things our government has long ago mastered—that the propaganda they shove in our throats as we "learn" "history" in school has been exposed as utter non-sense; and for uncloaking the spine of Neoliberalism so very blatantly that it is now impossible to deny the reckless and destructive quality of our typical American ventures of greed and control and murder in the name of Manifest Destiny and Murkan power. I also thoughtfully tip my sombrero to an old friend, Chris, who didn't vote against Bush in 2004, which had a large part to do with our not speaking since then. He told me that it was better if Bush just took it all the way and showed the world how disastrous right-wing thinking is. I don't apologize to him, because we were both right. After all, when you have hope, you have to act on it. And I had hope that if we all voted against him, the world would be better off.

Though blood is spilling and fear is growing and government control is unhinging its flex like a fevered, murderous marionette due to this mad, mad idiot child at the helm of our nation, in a sense we are better off. For the Lie will never be swallowed quite so easily by quite so many. And because after this razing to the ground of the great star-spangled illusion, I am sure we will recoil, and with a passion that just may make this world a better place than it could have been were Gore or Kerry to win.

IF we survive the further destruction that Bush is clamoring to "bring on," that is.

also a silent thanks to my mother, who saw fit to dance (9 months pregnant with me) at a Janis Joplin concerts like the unruly hippie she was, raise me in many communal settings, and teach me all I needed to know about American government long before I was old enough to vote.

I for one welcome the new vexations of our old overlords.

George Bush is the perfect man to represent America.

Lacking merit, he was promoted over those who did.

Lacking the honor to serve out his military duties, he was made commander in chief.

Lacking any talent at making money, he was made steward of the Treasury.

Lacking decorum and judgment, he became our chief ambassador.

Lacking a sense of justice, he was put in charge of appointing judges.

How can anyone complain? He mirrors America perfectly.

in general, horsedooty, netiquette as i know it simply requires a link, and people are free to spread knowledge and inspiration anywhere. esp at this site, we do not run by any fear/greed-based control methods such as "I WANT TO BE PAID AND CREDITED FOR ALL CREATIVE USES OF MY PUNCTUATION" so i totallllly respect your showing respect like this, and asking, pero in my opinion if its on my site, and it helps what we are trying to do wherever there is an overlap in our personal agendas, feel free. linking is, por supuesto, showing you are not a ladrón, of course. and it is only right to give credit if you didnt make something up. but if charles does not respond, you have my permission to link to my page and quote from it.

hola... I fixed the link on my page that you pointed out was linked incorrectly. Thanks for the update. I, like yourself, am a big believer in linking to make our blogs more powerful and getting the links right is what benefits us all...

Thanks... I think Charles is right on the money with his description of Bush and his qualifications... sadly...
