Gleam on the National Product

Categorized under Política Estados Unidos | Tags:

"BLOGGERS® ARE EDGY, Bloggers® are 'RAW,' Are bloggers® going too far?" And most importantly: can they be trusted near our National Product?

What is all this nonsense? Bloggers are not a new species. They (WE) are nothing special, nothing strange, nothing unknown. BLOGGERS ARE PEOPLE. It's just been so long since real people's voices were actually represented in media or politics that when you begin hearing them, they sound so—ew—so...human! I mean, they take STRONG stands n shit! They actually let themselves get eMOTIONal about war and human suffering and stuff. Surely not glossy enough, not powdered, puffed, sanitized, fumigated, or fluffed enough! Has there even been a FOCUS GROUP on the tag used for this post?????

And please. But that old creaky loud fella, the President of the Catholic Church League? Any outfit that hands him a mic and takes him seriously has, by default, lost my respect. I mean to hear him using the word "scurrilous"? As if this hateful, screeching bag of hostile flesh could possibly be offended. Like hearing the cutesy term "golly-gee" eke it's shuddering way out from between the rot-stained lips of the Rummy-beast. Like a wolf with putrid flesh stuck between its teeth wearing a thick application of strawberry lip gloss.

Keep the bloggers John. Or fire 'em. The whole damn bunch is getting too damn self-important anyway. PINCHE BLOGGERZ!

UPDATE: Johnny Boy keeps the bloggers on. Personally, as a BLOGGER I approve of his stance. As a Latino blogger, I approve of his cojones on this. As a Concerned Parent, I appreciate his addressing proper discourse etiquette reminders! So Nezua says "Good Choice, John!"

Now let the campaign roll ON! And Bloggers, remember to stay happy, active, and keep a civil fuckin' tongue in ya head while ya talk about today's groovy fanatic Right, the unbridled bloodshed in Iraq, and especially about the sins perpetrated by the Church in God's name!

Oh man, thanks for this. I didn't think I had any sense of humor left about the whole mess, but you got me with "the whole damn bunch is getting too self-important anyway."

It's funny 'cause it's true.

Gleam… is that like Breck?
Btw, I was just over at the Breck Girls' blog, and I have to say, he should fire the whole fucking site. Something called "edwards.3bubbles.com", which I believe is related to his chat feature, updates every 1/2 second or so, whether you chat or not. How incredibly annoying. But how appropriate. All chat. No mettle. John Edwards.com.

PS:
Some scurrilous bastard over there named "ikondave" used the term "wag the blog" in the title of a post and didn't give you,

Nezua Limón Xolagrafik-Jonez,

copyright credit.

Heh. Yeah, pretty much. I mean, I know the situation is fucked, that they're getting driven out by some raving Catholics and bigots and all. But still... yeah, pretty much!

jee jee. I love me the grafik, Nez.

You know, it's not like I have a whole lot of respect for any politician. Nevertheless, I do vote in primaries and stuff, and do my best to forever try to poke, poke, poke the Democratic party more to the left (using variety of strategies, including NOT voting for them but voting Green, etc). But crap like this. It just alienates the people who are activists. And then who is Edwards, et al. left with exactly?! Pinche the whole lot of em.

ilyka, thank ya. i'm glad you got it in the right spirit. i don't mean to be dismissive of any personal pain or hardship that Amanda and Melissa suffered. they were dissed as dissy as dis can be. i just feel like tweaking the blogosfero every once in a while so it plumps up nice.

--

LG you cracked me up. for real? reloading 3bubbles? way to go, johnny boy. he's really gonna nail down that ....Chat Lobby.

and thanks for calling out the Scurrilous Bastard! how dare they use my word that i coined as Nezua who coins words????

—Nezua, who coined "Wag the Blog."

--

Jack, respect the BLOGGER BREED...they do unprecedented shit...type and think and voice thoughts...it's a new breed of human and i find it all very Awesome and Earthshaking. They rule.

I know, turtlebella. we use what we have because its in place. and yet we hardly believe in it. it's a sad state of affairs. The system is bigger than Edwards. it's what i feared when i first saw his sunny campaigning. I think he means well and could do well. But, I wonder if he's willing to get a buzzcut and go to war. Meaning, for common sense. Granted, it's gotta be hard to be up in that spotlight, and fret over a billion things. Running for president is like American Idol but with rich contestants with dreams of world domination....

Hey vato, maybe Edwards read your post and made a decision, it seems he did fire 'em. At least that is what is being discussed at his site on the live discussion.

Órale holmes maybe he will recruit you to be his mero mero blogero.

XP dijo:

GRVTR

Nope holmes, I guess not, it looks like they are staying.

The tone and the sentiment of some of Amanda Marcotte's and Melissa McEwan's posts personally offended me. It's not how I talk to people, and it's not how I expect the people who work for me to talk to people. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that kind of intolerant language will not be permitted from anyone on my campaign, whether it's intended as satire, humor, or anything else. But I also believe in giving everyone a fair shake. I've talked to Amanda and Melissa; they have both assured me that it was never their intention to malign anyone's faith, and I take them at their word. We're beginning a great debate about the future of our country, and we can't let it be hijacked. It will take discipline, focus, and courage to build the America we believe in.

I take back the "Breck Girl" comment.

"…how dare they use my word that i coined as Nezua who coins words"

But I cannot forgive the impudence of their bold audacity. These rabble obviously have no idea who they are fucking with, oh Nezua que es el Neologos.

Have you seen this Nez?
Reps. Walter Jones, R-N.C., and Dana Rohrabacher, R-Calif., blasted President Bush for not intervening in the case, with Rohrabacher hinting that he would consider pressing for impeachment if either of the two agents was killed in prison.
