I will gladly trade you forecasts for a day! As someone who grew up in the pacific northwest and now lives in southern California, I miss the rainy, foggy days of February. :)

I have lived in Washington, Oregon, and Denmark which is the same thing. You need: full spectrum light bulbs, and candles - both at once, during the day - *and* really bright rich colors throughout the house - *and* bossa nova or some other sun-drenched music like that which can get into your bones - *and* if you really want to get into the cure, also Epsom salts, flowers, and perfumes/essential oils.

uh, can Professor Zero come decorate my house please?! That sounds so lovely.
Course, we had sun here this morning. But tonight, here in the frozen upper midwest it's going to snow like thirty million inches. But that is way way better than the 20 below 0 weather we had a few weeks ago. That was too much for this latina's blood!
Having lived in SF I know that the fog and rain can get to you- almost more than it being cold. So I hope maybe it gets sunny otra vez there in the pacific nw for ya, nez!

The native Oregonians actually get depressed and anxious if the sun is out for too many days in a row. I find this utterly perverse. But: you've got the house decorating recipe - it isn't hard to do! ;-)

Yeah dude, I'm about to build an ark down here in Hawaii, the rain is so bad. Seriously! I'm scared to walk outside because I might drown! Stupid rainiest part of the US... [grumble grumble sorry I didn't have lunch grumble]

Heh. Welcome to Oregon. I spent a few months there in '76 and couldn't wait to leave. I guess it's okay if you like rain.
Hawaii is at least a little warmer, although no less damp. What got me about Hawaii was the humidity. I'm originally from Michigan, and hot and humid don't agree with me. Snow and ice I can handle.

yeah, i lived in miami for a few years so i know about hot and humid. and if i can be amidst tropical foliage, sun, and little scampering lizards, not to mention ocean, i'll take that any day. right now i feel i'm in the place ray bradbury lived when he wrote about his planets of eternal rain.
