Stylin'.

imgREJOICE BLIND ONES, and thank your devoted oracles Sunrunner, Clem, and Donna, for it is they who have finally inspired Nezua to dig in his bag of tricks and bring forth the light! Or perhaps not the light, but at least a few different styles to now choose from when surfing this dear and unapologetic blog design.

Below you will find a legend and instructions on how to choose one of 14 styles. If all scripts and cookies are working correctly, your choice should be remembered by the blog, and nevermore shall you squint at my miniature and ever-so-barely contrasted designings.

So there it is. Only took 25ish hours. And the blog grows mightier!

In addition to comment adjustments, you now have the option—if you find my light-text-on-dark-bg blockquotes harsh on your eyes—to choose a reverse blockquote style. I may add reverse blockquotes in the remaining styles if there are enough requests.

Otherwise, these should serve you well. The buttons are under each post. Your choice will carry over to the front page, as well. If you forget the choices, you can float your mouse over any button (below) and text should popup to describe that style. But your style choice should be remembered by a cookie, so you should not have to choose again unless you change your mind or browser.

I think that covers it. Please feel free to leave feedback on the designs/readability/tweaks, etc. If you are going to save loads of cash, now, on reading glasses and oversized magnifying type props, feel free to write me into your will. Otherwise, let's all just take a collective sigh, and get back to regular content tomorrow.

For your diddling testing purposes, this that was deleted text, and this is my smaller "nota/sombrero tip" style.

Nez, you are the sweetest. Kudos to you for finding ways to share the beauty of this site with damned near everybody who wants it.

Most excellent! This is very cool and considerate of you.

I had no idea that so many choices could be offered, even. You've set the gold standard, I think! ;)

well, at least i don't have to feel bad anymore, like i'm ignoring anyone's specific needs/browser lackage. also i can use the high-rez graphics and don't have to feel bad cuz now the blog comes in FLAVORS

Wow! It really can be done cuz you did it! I'm having fun trying them all out.

i still have yet to figure out why the paper gif shows up on the front page no matter what the choice. it's eluding me. it shouldn't be happening by all signs. that's the next target.

save some fun for later. :)

I like the larger fonts. But if the internet drives me blind, it will be Shakira's fault.

perhaps i'm just strange, but i prefer small fonts.
not small enough i can't read them, but you know what i mean.
i think i'll stick to the original design, although it's fun to change them to see the different looks. :)

Geeze, Nezua... do you ever sleep? I may be the "insomniac gringo" but even I take a siesta now and then. But, on behalf of the 35% of males of Northern European heritage who lose their senitivity to yellow/green after age 40, much thanks!

The presence of Shakira in the world will make blindness an epidemic.

yay annie! i'm glad you like it as-is.

I think I know what you mean Annie. Each line break is like a break in my concentration. At the same time, my sight isn't the best. It's a balancing act choosing text size for me. If I had great eyesight I would prefer much smaller text size so I don't break the continuity of what I am reading.

This certainly takes 'user friendly' to new heights, now if you can just get your blog to feed my cat tomorrow night, that would be really helpful.

Wow, been away for a few days. Like the fix on the name tabs, its was harder to see them before. Gold standard...she looks nice!

oh wow, see what happens when you come to the conversation late? i just answered your other post about if you have problems seeing the site, and here you are, already having an answer and shit!

nezua limón xolagrafik-jonez dijo:

thanks rafa!

jeje, yeah bfp, but you get the instant fix that way!

Thank you so much! I would be here so much more often but for the blazing fast 24K dialup provided to the citizens of Appalachia. I look forward to trying this out!

nezua limón xolagrafik-jonez dijo:

GRVTR

ah, good. i hope it helps!

i've got to work on the front page a little more. it still calls up the paper images, i think. but these individual posts should load much quicker for you, aside from graphics i include in the posts, themselves.

Man, this is really great! I have had a lot of trouble with viewing your blog and I am definitely among the technologically impaired type of folks you mentioned on Donna's blog. I can finally come here and read what's going on. The site as you designed it is absolutely beautiful. The fact that you were willing to allow others to alter it to meet their needs puts you in the category of super-duper bloggers (as if you weren't already). Thank you very, very much. I'll be back again soon.

adios
