Out of the Frying Pan, Into the Detainment Center

WE SEE NOW how ousting Imus has moved us forward as a nation and will clearly have beneficial results upon the dialogues on race in this country. His replacement? The thoughtful pundit Michael Smerconish.

The Big Talker 1210 AM morning show of Daily News columnist Michael Smerconish is to be simulcast Monday through Wednesday on MSNBC, the network confirmed Friday.

The show will air on MSNBC from 6 to 9 a.m. That slot until last week belonged to radio host Don Imus. MSNBC fired Imus April 11 over the controversy following his on-air comments about the Rutgers women's basketball team.

Great...and old ignorant faux cowboy gets replaced by ignorant pseudo-urbanite. Glen Beck will be pleased, now there are two chicken littles in basic cable, on for the morning and one for the evenings.

Rafael, he's not ignorant. He knows exactly what he's doing. I give him a few days, maybe weeks, before he flames out in a public temper tantrum and returns to solely doing radio.

Thx for the sombrero tip, Nez.

Willful ignorance is still ignorance although yes, he does know how to manipulate his gullible audience. Ans for flaming out...well hes been doing tv for awhile subbing for Scarborough and Beck, so he knows his way around a camera, unless you meant the other for of flaming out...thats different! Not unexpected, just different...
