The Noble Invader

O, DON'T YOU GET TIRED living in a land of propaganda, being treated as if you were a fool, being lied to as if you are stupid? I know...if I can swallow the Big Lie, then why can't I just get used to our smaller agreed-upon lies? (Psst...because I do not and I will not.)
Wednesday's first speech, at the Virginia Military Institute, will showcase Mr. McCain's 'commitment to winning the war in Iraq.'
There is NO "war in Iraq." We are NOT at "war," we have not declared "war" we are kicking down doors to find the young men who LIVE IN IRAQ and who are trying to expel the INVADER—that's US—before we get the chance to build massive bases, so it is our blessed troops who are OCCUPYING, those people wreaking violence want us OUT, our "war" is now WITH Iraq, the guerrillas of Iraq, the citizens of Iraq, the ones brave and pissed enough to act on the fact that they have been INVADED why should they not be furious just because we are blanketed with mass-media hype and are too stupid, selfish, or lazy to sift through the tripe? If we were invaded and the invaders didn't even bother lying properly to their own country let alone ours, would you tell me to support the invasion and respect the installed new government? I would spit on you if you did. I would curl my lip and leave your presence for good.
Yes, I know there are factions now fighting that vie for power, and not every bomb is meant to drive us out. But those who warned others in Govt not to invade knew those factions would fight if Saddam were ever felled, and wrote that down. That is no surprise. And this is no "War." There is no "enemy" aside from the very passionate and irreppresible force of an indigenous population rising up against a brutal invader and occupier. It is us and our Puppet Government vs. Iraq and the victor gets the spOILs so STOP fucking lying to people who don't buy it. You degrade yourself.
And McCain? McCain is just a killer waiting to get even with the ghost enemy who so long ago put him in a cage. This guy is dying to push buttons. You can look trhough his doughy smirks and sincere-a-thon sessions and get a good glimpse at some 40-year old still-spoiling rage.
Look, do whatever. Build your empire in these lands—on these swampy congealing pools of blood, atop the splintered bones of innocent humans. Just stop lying. Have the grace to tell it like it is. Have the courage of conviction not to dress up your hatred of the Brown™, your petroleum thirst, and your mad dreams of domination.

Brother, I think we should come up with a better, less euphemistic, less Amurrykah-da-beeyouutiful title for this slaughterhouse initiative in the Middle East.
"The Terror[izing] War [That Happens to Be] On [Top of And Crushing Life in] Iraq [at This Time]" is the best I can do.
