IF BUSH STATES HIMSELF that the terrorists who struck us on 9/11 are "trying to get us to withdraw from the world," please tell me how this syncs with his vehement denial that America's bases in other countries and our interference in their affairs is "to blame" for those same attacks? Can you assert the former without validating the latter?

And is his steadfast insistence that the "Turrorists" are the only ones we should look at (but not the actual country of their origin) actually a denial of his own blame for the event?

Remember the flap about "Rebuilding American's Defenses," the Neocon strategy document published before Bush was elected? It got mentioned a lot as the government whipped up the aggression against Iraq because it said the U.s. should attack Iraq. That document said many equally priceless things that have been unfortunately neglected. For instance:

"American armed forces stationed abroad and on rotational deployments around the
world should be considered as the first line of American defenses ... they are the cavalry on the new American frontier."

Now how simple is that. The cavalry on the frontier. See, those bases are NOT in foreign countries. They are in the territory belonging to the U.S. that just hasn't been formally incorporated yet. The fact that some people accidentally wandered onto this territory and then deny us our right to be there is what forces us to be there. Jeez, Nez, you'd think that would be plain as day!!

kick it, ése.
