WHEN HAS A BORDER WALL done anything but harm? Berlin, Israel, Baghdad, China, America. These fences, walls, borders, assaults upon the flow and migration of water, humans, and animals. These politically-inspired prisons we erect. Concrete, barbed wire, sensors, radar, aerial drones. We confess our lack of understanding, loss of (pseudo-) control, and inability to coexist with each other with each dollar we spend on and each day we continue to invest in containing and separating human beings. We make manifest our internal division, we propagate externally the maze within that we have not found our way through.
