I WANT to thank all the people who emailed me a response to my sociological society/gov't-type questions. I'm going to chew on these and do some thinking for myself, and a bit more reading, probably. I may reply, and ask a follow-up question (which you are free to answer or not, of course). I may have all I need here to feed this process. At some point this thinking will probably move through a post here and there. Maybe you'll recognize it. Even if not, the interaction remains very useful to me. I hope I thanked each person as they wrote, but in case I missed you and don't realize it as I go over these emails, I want you to know I appreciate all your time and thoughts and energy. There's really no more valuable resource than people's lived experience and ideas, and dreams, and I appreciate you offering these up freely.
