Nezua Limón's Tome of Tequila Etiquette: Rule 71

Page 27, Rule 71:

SHOULD THE MOMENT ARRIVE in your Tequila-enhanced conversations in which you find yourself loudly proclaiming "I AM CALM! I'M AS CALM AS A RIVER FLOWING DOWN TEMPLE STEPS, MAN!" it is best to simply excuse yourself politely, apologize to your host for referring to his drinking receptacles as "barnacled with age," and find a bush somewhere (preferably not in the yard of the house you just left) to sleep in.

Nice advice...will remember it next time...or will I?

That photo set I sent included one of a group of Maguey Plants, the source of Tequila.

My only experience with tequila ever was belting it directly out of the bottle, followed by salt and lime, of course, and agreeing in the wee hours of that morning to run away to California with the Mexican gangster with whom I was drinking. Great memory. Thanks for bringing it back.

(P.S. We didn't go, though I probably would have, if he'd showed back up that next day. By the time we saw each other again, the magic moment had passed. But it's still a great memory.)

This a good reminder as to why I don't drink tequila!
Although finding a bush is a good piece of advice, however, sleep wouldn't be my use for it.

kick it, ése.
