Venice is Where This Began [Open Thread]

THIS WILL BE AN OPEN THREAD, a new features for sundays. I figure this will be an easier commitment to maintain than my Sunday Skillet Blogging (sorry Sylvia!). A little grafix work from me, and your fine Hearts and Minds. (Isn't it wild that a phrase like "hearts and minds" is now wed to war???

New MySpace for those other members of the Rupert Fox shadow army, please add if you dare. That should work to add. Or just see the page here. I look happy in that picture because I know my photograph is about to be captured. Photographs cage my soul and I like that, it excites my karma gorilla, which paces.

How's this weekend for you? How's the day? What needs to be noted in words, but can't find a place anywhere else?

I've been too busy out exploring the world to blog. That's a GOOD thing. Found interesting flowers and a strange plant that smells like lemon when you crush the leaves. Went to the lakefront and watched the kids splash around. Hung with my daughter. And the title of your post makes me think of my oldest, who is sleeping on the sand somewhere in Venice Beach.
