What were you two about to watch? She's beautiful.

That last picture is really complex and compelling. I hate to use cliches like "haunting," but it is. Excellent.

I'm getting used to reading your "j" as "h" -- so when you said "thanks jeffa" I erupted into laughter.

The more photos of 'Nita I see, the more I'm caused to think about how we lose our "deep" almost by the year as we grow up, huh? Right now, 'Nita is deeper than I'll probably ever be again. Beautiful! (Thank you for bringing her into the world, for bringing her along the way you are, for sharing her with the rest of us. She is hope for the future and we SO need that to keep going.)

yes, yes, we lose many things. or forget ourselves. stop trusting our senses and thoughts and feelings...start looking to standards that have been foisted upon us, others' ideas, shame, self-denial, grownup thoughts that we impose on our pure, never-faded childheart. we do, it has been a focus of mine all my life. i saw when i was a child that adults, many adults, were lost. i never forgot, swore i never would, swore i wouldn't be like that. but we can remember ourselves anytime we want.

thank you for your words.

kick it, ése.
