The Pricking of My Thumbs
Categorized under Acción | Tags: Hope, Police State, Power to the People, September 11
Roberts pointed out that it's old-line Republicans like himself, former Reagan associate deputy attorney general Bruce Fein, and Pat Buchanan who are the diehards in warning of the danger.
'It's so obvious to people like us who have long been associated in the corridors of power,' he said. 'There's no belief in the people or anything like that. They have agendas. The people are in the way. The Constitution is in the way. ... Americans need to comprehend and look at how ruthless Cheney is. ... A person like that would do anything.'"
SOMETHING WICKED THIS WAY COMES. Will it be this summer, as the government is indicating with it's "gut feelings"? It very well may be. Will it be when impeachment proceedings are brought to the floor, finally? Will Cheneybush attack us, or allow us to be attacked just before the 2008 election? All the laws have been changed, everything is in place, and it's all by design. Surely we can't imagine it's coincidental. From the John Warner Defense Appropriation Act for Fiscal Year 2007 (H.R. 5122.ENR), which allows the military on our shores to act as police (occupation) to the loss of habeas corpus to the detainment centers being silently built all over, to the abundance of statements coming out lately that are either mystically warning of us a summer attack or agencies covering their asses by suddenly complaining they haven't been given enough Homeland Security funds—everything is in place. But one thing.
Call me what you will. I say it is coming. I say Cheney will never allow his power to wane or his dark dreams die. He's too old, he's too sick, he's too close, he's devoid of even one iota of humanity, and he's very, very, very hungry.
Do you have money in the bank? Take it out. Now.
Do you have contingency plans with your loved ones? Make them now. With friends, neighbors and loved ones. This weekend. Plan signals. Flag on the railing. Light in attic window. Something they would never see/hear normally.
Do you have a hiding place? Find one. Supplies? Food?
Do you have weaponry? Buy or make some.
Do you have a route planned? Start thinking. Start preparing.
Be psychologically ready to resist.
Training is so important. This is what Tae Kwon Do, among other things, has tought me deep in my bones. It can mean the difference between your worst nightmare and survival.
What's so wrong about being ready? What's the danger in listening to Pollyanna instead?
Or not. I'm not here to spread fear. I don't blame those who just want to sit on a hill and let it come, if that's what will be. I can understand that to some, even fearing a thing is giving up too much to negativity. And I hope so badly I (and the linked articles) are wrong on this.
But I am a survivor. Do you know what that means? It means I get and am ready even when there is no arguable reason to be. And my friends? Who among us can argue that there is not very good reason to be ready?

In cases like these, the best defense is a good offense.

One of the links, Desperado Days, was published in December of 2004 and the Habeus Corpus rights have been slowly taken away since 1996, with the most outrageous act in a series being last year. So we are very far along on the boiled frog road to tyranny.
Desperado Days answered for me, at least in a very small way, the question: "Why are we in Iraq?"
Thanks for a very direct and needed post Nez. And watch your back. I am concerned for you.

I covered the 1993 World Trade Center bombing for network news. I was under the South Tower on 9/11 when the first plane struck and evacuated from my debris covered home in the aftermath. I have been reluctant to believe "conspiracy." BUT.
But this "chatter", coming from our American political "leaders" just sounds wrong...and it smells of white knuckled desperation.
Something is indeed in the air.

Carmen D, I admire your continuing rationality in the face of uncertainty. I don't think I would be able to be so cool!

Something wicked is already here, and it has permeated the underbelly of the American population with a comprehensive brainwashing campaign. There are some scary sick racist people in this country backing Dick and Bush who are more than ready to take up their guns and blow away the scientists, intellectuals, artists, people of color, and anybody else who thinks for themselves.
remember Costa Rica Nez. It's still there.
and a postscript for today, as Dick is now in charge while they spend the day looking up W's ass:

i just got a new camera kit, thanks to an amazing reader/sponsor/friend. if it weren't for mis hijos y hijas, i would take off ala brad will style. i swear. rather than running away, i'd much rather be bringing truth to the people. i'll still find a way. some way where i'm not dodging bullets. or as many.

Who'd of thunk it, George is a giver when it comes to Dick. Anyways...
I hope such things don't come to pass, although history shows it is not paranoia to expect the worst. They have already used blackwater combat 'hardened' mercs domestically, so they regard citizen's as an insurgent enemy. I dunno, it seems fantastical, but...something doesn't smell right.

Which is the master, and which is the servant? That's the real question. But I think we already can guess that one.
