Apocolyptic Mel the Jew-Ranter and the Return of the Firm, Firm, Wagon

Categorized under | Tags: ,

MEL Gibson is firmly back on the wagon after his controversial drink-driving arrest last year, a Californian court was told yesterday.

The actor-director has been attending compulsory Alcoholics Anonymous meetings up to five times a week.

An anti-Semitic rant during his arrest last July made headlines around the world.

Yesterday he was found to have complied with his probation terms. Judge Lawrence Mira ruled he was no longer required to go to AA meetings.

--Gibson back on the wagon,

WHEW. IT'S A GOOD THING that our favorite historical revisionist-fly (okay, bad pun on "Bar-fly") has got a hold of one of those "firm" wagons. I know about the rickety, splintering ones, and judges never like to hear about those rides.

Welcome back to the freedom to intoxicate and humiliate yourself legally, Mel. Use it wisely. And by "wisely," I mean "stay home and off the phone."
