MESSAGE: He (Wants You to Think He) Cares.

MONTEBELLO, Quebec (AP) - President Bush, at a North American summit on Tuesday, offered U.S. assistance and expressed his concern for the citizens of Mexico and elsewhere whose lives were affected by Hurricane Dean.

'We stand ready to help,' said Bush, standing alongside Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper. 'The American people care a lot about the human condition in our neighborhood and when we see human suffering we want to do what we can.'"

--Bush Concerned About Hurricane Victims, guardian.co.uk

HE'S RIGHT ABOUT ONE THING: The American people do care a lot about the human condition. In their neighborhood. And when they see human suffering, they want to do what they can.

Some other types, after causing or seeing immense human suffering, take vacations, or dawn joggings, go fishing, strum a guitar or take home Chortle N Guffaw trophies. But suffering? Not so much.

Amazing photo Nez. You had me there for a moment. Just one question: Why can't the leader of the most powerful nation in the world afford a cooler pair of shades? That junk on his face went out in the 90s. How embarassing.

Jokes aside, "We stand ready to help (ourselves to whatever sh*t your country has that we want to take)."

I hope for Mexico's sake that we're not "standing ready to help" in the same spot we've been standing in to help hurricane victims in *this* country since two years ago. Jerk.
