My Story, My Place, My Pace

Categorized under YKos2007 | Tags: , ,

img AND HERE'S A SHORT NOTE to anyone who has, in any way, attempted to adjust (or who plans to attempt to adjust) the rate at which I write my YearlyKos tale or put together my film on same: SHUT UP. And I mean that very nicely. Picture me with a Tucker Carlson bow on as I say it, and a handful of daffodils or a smirky Kos Meets the Press expression. Unless you are buying me childcare or a faster computer or more time or helping me work on my graphic art jobs and are working my schedule or entertaining my 15-month old as I try to write or want to sign on as a free personal assistant—just sit back and enjoy the (FREE) ride. This writing is worth billions, baby. So fetch thy corn, pop it, and enjoy the show. Or else go pick up your Harry Potter book and leave off the clicky-clicky. DEEEEamn.

My favorite books are mystery/suspense/can't quite figure out where it's going yet novels and, much as I may sometimes want to, I never flip to the back of the book to see how it all turns out. The fun is in the journey, especially if one gets to have a sense of being along for the ride.

Sylviaaa...We rock rough and stuff with our afro puffs...
Watch your step, Mr. Nez. ;)

Mexican time workds for me, why rush?

OT but today is the anniversery of the fall of Tenochtitlan, on August 13, 1521.

I was bored last night so I did another of my game inspired hack jobs, it only took me a about an hour or so, but...

1) None of the content was original. I merely cut and pasted bits here and there.

2) I used Windows Movie Maker, anybody can use that

3) I created something that has be done well over 10,000 in YouTube

So my point is (yes I have a point), I really have no idea of the hard work you putting into it (although I wish I had a two screen suave Mac to do it in), I have to wait.

But it damned better be good, my patience has a price!

No pressure though....just keep working...doing your thing...

gracias, mariachi mama. for the reminder. i did a post on it last year...i should link. mention it.

Rafa, i'll try to live up to it! thanks 'mano

My only question is, will I get to see the mini doc after it's done, like online somewhere or something? Cuz if not, I won't harass you to hurry up, but I will harass you for being cruel. Tell people about something that sounds really cool and then they don't ever get to see it...

nezua limón xolagrafik-jonez dijo:

GRVTR

oh no! of course i'll make it available. yes, that's why i talk about it here. you guys travel from before trip to trip to aftermath through process all the while, and at the end is the piece. a full experience! i hope.

Oh deeeAAMMM, Sylvia and Carmen are like "we's not a-scared!" and Nez is all "grrrr!" and folks are diving under tables and this funk is about to go down!

Okay I'll stop instigating, bad habit from my bar fightin' days.

Honestly take your sweet time, Nez, you can't rush (artistic) pregnancy. But all these teasers are definitely getting me salivating to see the final product! Please include plenty of pie charts and schematic diagrams and scientific tables so that we can be convinced of your intellectual viability. ;-)

nezua limón xolagrafik-jonez dijo:

GRVTR

PIE CHARTS of COURSE i knew i was forgetting something! dont' sweat it, 'mano. i will both pie charts AND tables. cause i need to be convincin' folks of this stuff!

right on bro, i'm glad the teasers are workin! jeje. i do honestly hope to roll it out sooner than later. instigator!

Sylvia dijo:

GRVTR

*fluffs her puffs* Get to gettin' it, 'mano!

Hee, I can be patient, but not 4EVAH

YOU ON NOTICE

I'm bringing the NOISE and the FUNK

RickB dijo:

GRVTR

Well I'm glad you've spelled out your intentions and pacing. I was sort of waiting until the end to comment (on the kos series) then I realised that could be a while because you are laying down a serious memoir of recent events. Erm, so take your time, it is good that is the important thing. When it comes to the doc wouldn't it be good to kind of make it a vitual premiere, like we all come to a chatroom first, chit chat then at the appointed hour- the movie appears online, then after back to the virtual party to buy each other virtual cocktails and debate just what that mysterious shot of Kos & Hillary *really* meant?

nezua limón xolagrafik-jonez dijo:

GRVTR

thanks man. yeah...it might speed up! i cant go at the same pace i've been. that would take forever. we'll see. the freedom is good. necessary.

see you at the screening! ;)

nezua limón xolagrafik-jonez dijo:

GRVTR

hey that's okay...being on notice only MAKES ME STRONGER!!! GRARRRrRr!

Joan Kelly dijo:

GRVTR

Okay, well in that case I would have been one of those obnoxious people begging you to hurry up, before you put a stop to the nagging.

P.S. I'm a personal assistant! There's always a chance I'll get fired and before the cat food runs out I could work free for a cutting edge filmmaker...

:-P

I'd keep an eye on Kai. I caught him lurking at CRN with a bicycle chain in his hand.
