As you know, many Irish stood alongside the Mexican people 150 years ago in the Mexican-American War, most notably the San Patricio battalion, standing together against encroaching Anglo imperialistic warfare. The same manifest destiny bull that the Anglos pushed against the Latino people in that invasion of Mexico in 1846, and that idiots like the Minutemen try to push again today-- the Anglos had also been pressing against us Irish as well.

The Anglos repeatedly invaded and brutalized the Irish, with Queen Elizabeth and then Cromwell and Disraeli all finding excuses to occupy Ireland and slaughter as many of us as they could. Invading Anglos refused to allow us to speak Irish Gaelic in our own homeland and dispossessed us repeatedly, just like the Anglos have been trying to do-- in violation of multiple treaties-- in the Southwest since 1848, Florida even earlier than that. That way, the Anglos could even brainwash some Irish away from their identity, using them against their own Irish brethren.

We're glad to see you standing up with such determination against these Anglo jerks who want to deny you your most essential rights and privileges in your home region in the SW, just like the San Patricios 150 years ago we stand by you again. Irish, people in India, Kenyans, Germans, Black South Africans, Jamaicans, an awful lot of diverse people have witnessed Anglo imperialism up close as you have, so we sympathize with you again now as all the bigotry wells up again.

Don't be cowed by it for a moment, the racists will back down when someone stands up to them. And as you become majority again in the Southwest where you used to be before, you'll decide the very future of the country-- nobody will treat like you like dirt again as you assert your rights.

Hable su idioma orgullosamente, teach this history to your children, make sure they continue to understand how important it is to stand up against the Anglo imperialists. As we ourselves learned in Ireland, only resistance and solidarity across generations succeeds in forcing the Anglo imperialists to back down.
