The Red Carpet Treatment [Veterans Day]

Categorized under Arte , Artivism , Humor , Raza | Tags: ,

LALO ALCARAZ, a Xicano who pens some damn funny comix on the regular, wrote me and asked me to post up his latest comment on the Ken Burns saga.

Behind the cut, I give you Lalo's latest. Should have been up ayer, but only got it anoche.

Original "not prettied up for Nez's blog" version here. Lalo says spread it around. (And Defend the Honor folks, he also says he can't get in touch with you and wanted you to have it.)

(Background: Burns relented to the outcry from so many veterans and from Defend the Honor, and all the Latinos represented by them, and from other places. He agreed that it was only right to incorporate the experiences of Latino veterans, and then tacked them on in a sort of "DVD extras" fashion. Damn Latin@s are not happy with being tacked on like an afterthought for some reason.)
