you know, as much as he was mocked for the bowtie (it would be funny if i turned out to be one of those people), i could understand and respect having your own weird style. no matter what anyone called it. and i'm not trying to say i really ever loved tucker c. but i lost a little of my secret respect for him when he put the straight tie on. i was like...'ah...but that was a necessary counterbalance to you.' it was a good thing. it was a laugh at himself. and now he's trying to look serious. our little tucker is all grown up.

but you know what i'm finding interesting? first Tucker demonized obama by attributing his empathy as one that was derived from marijuana. now tucker demonizes kucinich because of...i'm not sure, his ears? i forget what he said was his problem with him. his height? but anyway, to demonize kucinich, he brings up his previous issue again, marijuana (which comes out of left field here), and this hints at obsession. so the question is, how much ganja does tucker
huff a week? because we know how good the Right wing pundits seem to be at projecting!

I am really lost in the TV world since I never watch it. And I mean never, as in, I did see the Trade Towers fall on live TV and in the last 30 odd years, I guess that is it other than bank lines. I had seen photos of Tucker in his tie and it was his only emblematic feature. His face is hard to recall. He is, I have read, a devoted father of four, {I think I read that} and for me, that is something I would respect. But I would have to question the type of role model he is presenting to his children if they ever see his show, admittedly a show I have only read about, never seen, have no desire to see.
I study TV and media in general {films, ads, radio talkyak}, ONLY to try and get a drift on what the hell the US population is currently having their brains rinsed in. I only read the press on paper and on line and I do read blogs a great deal because the blogs also study this issue continually. Perhaps blogs are even an anti-media. I do know Tucker lost one show because of Stewart and he has some other one now. I guess he lost the tie somehow also. Jon, was that you?
I spent ten years when I was very very young working in media, mostly theatre and film documentary, and have no interest in being its patsy. Yes, most of it is propaganda, Virginia.
