One of the main ideas of modern parenting {and grandparenting}is to do your own thinking. Just because the government, the pharmaceutical corporations, the doctors or even your clergy person says "Just Do It", DON'T.
Do your own investigation. Start with that premise. Also NEVER assume that some government agency is looking out for your well being or even that your local store, doctor, mechanic or chef is. They are not. Maybe sometimes, maybe most of the time, but never always. Daily newspaper headlines make these ideas very clear.
Act accordingly!

i agree RC. i've been thinking for myself (or trying hard) since i was a child. i have huge beef with how often i see people hand over deference to authority because they were trained all their lives to do so in various forms. it breeds mental slaves of us. luckily i met so much corrupt and false forms of authority when younger, it trained me to be quite skeptical on that end. hope your familia is well.
