a few months ago when I lived in Asheville, NC, their "liberal alternative newspaper" published an article regarding undocumented workers in the area - their living situations, etc. - it was a very objective and educational article about human beings seeking to make a better life and how they had to go about it (encountering more challenge than many Americans encounter in a lifetime).

asheville had been known for years as a bastion of liberal thinking, hippies, peaceniks etc., but the influx of conservative floridian "refugees/retirees" is turning the town into a pile of conservatism. the responses to this story were appalling (many of them sounding like the guy above). So many concerns about people "stealing" this and that, so much lack of compassion for other HUMAN BEINGS.

and people wonder why the rest of the world hates the united states - if you can't figure it out, just give that above paragraph another read. we're a nation of idiots, sadly (and what about many of the original immigrants to this country, who went about stealing what wasn't theirs and killing off anyone who stood there before and remained in their way). how is that any different than what Leo Randall accuses Mexicans of today? How is their use of our social system any more taxing to you than the millionaire that doesn't pay any taxes at all and saddles the middle class with it instead? Why aren't you fighting those corporate tax breaks instead of taking it out on PEOPLE?

In America we use other people, undocumented and "guest workers" as slave labor and deny them basic human rights in the process, because they are slaves, not citizens. We have a history of this. sure, those thousands of workers may make use of our "social system" (for whatever shit it's worth), but many of them also fill jobs Americans feel they are too "good" to do anyway, at least back in North Carolina where the options for new arrivals are generally farm work, slaughterhouses and construction. so think about that with your next piece of breakfast bacon, Leo Randall. People like you make me embarrassed to be an American.

It's that "stealing welfare, food stamps and Social Security" that always kills me. I was a caseworker for years and 1) undocumented people are not eligible for benefits and documentation is checked, 2) naturalized citizens have restrictions on what they can get (food stamps only) and when (after being in country for a certain amount of years) and 3) I personally saw millions of dollars on the Social Security/Dept. of Labor website hook-up where we "checked" work histories and income and 12 people working on one SSN can really rack up the Soc. Sec. dollars that will never, ever be claimed. Ever. The only benefit that an undocumented person can receive is emergency medical assistance which entails childbirth and that only for the newborn. The mother gets nothing. The newborn is un estadounidense however and is worth that couple of hundred to a thousand dollars. The mother, not so much. That's American "generosity" for you.

15,000 Americans...where the Hell did he get that figure from? Talk about the kind of "facts" bandied about by the Lou Dobbs, Bill'Os and other media retards without anything to back it up. Next time you go to TGIF Leo, check to see if you food is Mexican free while your gorging on the 10-piece fajita platter and the rib-eye stake....are those worth 15k Americans, or 100,000 Guatemalans, or 30,000 Colombians? Are they?

It's the "us Americans" thing that is always revealing. I get into a lot of pleito with these idiots all the time and find ways to manipulate them to admit that that they think they are the only ones with the right to call themselves Americans. He went from "white Americans" to "us Americans" in less than a paragraph.

I believe the key number here is 15 - 15,000 american's killed... 15 millions dollars... I am not sure if I am sadden or amused at his figures...It's odd though how someone that can point and judge and speak of hatred would use such words of hatred himself... funny you would think that he would try to be an example of what a "good" american he is... blah... the whole american term is b.s. since when did the US own all of the nothern and southern continents lol.
