Vonnegut has been a personal fave of mine forever. His death last year added a melancholy tone to our wedding anniversary that day. I seem to recall that the Zapatistas have used that phrase "you are not alone" as well - makes me wonder if Subcommandante Marcos is a Vonnegut fan as well.

Kurt Vonnegut was so hard to understand, not in the broad sense, because he observed so much that he actually "reported"; unlike the talking heads who spew the garbage that their corporate overlords prepare for them. His wry sense of humor and deadpan style really worked--I love his writing--and yours.
