Official MTV News Intro to Street Team 08

Categorized under MTV Camp , Medios | Tags: , , , , ,

I NEVER POSTED the official MTV News intro on the Street Team 08, tho I meant to.

Behind the cut is the first vid MTV News did on the Street Team, in typical glitzy quick-cut MTV fashion. You can see me for a moment in one wide shot. That was a moment (and night) that Fellini would have appreciated. I had been up since three-thirty am, had flown on two planes a couple thousand miles to nyc, checked into my hotel, entered the MTV building; the 51 of us had just sat through the first night's orientation, very feel-good, very fun, amphitheater introductions and videos and celebs and execs and everyone was just glowing and my mind was sort of blowing, and then after we exited the theater into light, there were photographers and videographers and yeah it was just about as surreal as it sounds, and I guess I was supposed to be smiling in that group shot, I wanted to, but I sometimes falter at these fotografikally-arranged moments (remind me to show you some of my posed school fotos) and instead end up like "What the hell is going on?" So yeah. In that quick shot, I sort of look like I'm thinking "Whatever, man" but I think really I was just on autopilot! And exhausted.

Behold the Street Team Intro:

Short ad or film preview may play before MTV News piece

And though I posted a link yesterday, I hereby embed the last video I shot for the Street Team for those who don't like to click outbound links.

And I'm off to do some illustrationization. Peace, vatos. And homegirls.

I liked your videos! Remember us lil' peoples when they give you your own show!

i think it's interesting that folks have embraced the term "citizen journalist." what are the journalists in corporate media? the 'real' journalists? the non-citizen journalists? the 'objective' journalists? does one have to be vindicated by corporate media to be just a journalist? hmmm.

Anyways, I couldn't catch you in the MTV clip, it was too quick. When will they learn not to cover politics like an episode of Road Rules?

jeje...i think "citizen journalist" is in place of "corporate employee." but that line is blurring before ya eyes!

in the vid i'm facing screen right, in my hoodie with a skully on. its all good. even if you saw it you wouldnt really be any better off than you are now. and then you'd have this bored-ass lookin' nez image in your mind
