Saludos desde Tucson*

[Man Eegee is a guest blogger at The Unapologetic Mexican. Weekdays he dons his serape of wit over at Latino Político where he searches tirelessly for a succulent, flowering saguaro that will embrace him for a siesta en paz.]

Baja Arizona is in the house! Where Gadsden is more than an obscure footnote and the air wafts with the scent of steaming hot tortillas on the placa. Unfortunately, Nezua has horded all the rain up in the top-left corner of this chunk of tierra so the creosote forests haven't exhaled their desert rain perfume in a while. I'll forgive him, though, since he threw a llave to Casa UMX in my direction.

Bueno pues...I've been wielding a keyboard for a few years in this land of code, posts and linkage and am honored to be a part of the Unapologetic Bandit@ Crew. Latino Político has been the lugar where you can catch a sample of my Xicano verbal cumbia mix - so watch out, 'cuz DJ Man Eegee is setting up the turntables.

I'm writer, activist, liberal and pure spirit creating a mezcla of identity that keeps me humble and keeps me unapologetically real. El alma manifested in cultura through tradiciónes y música make each cycle of the sun worth living, not just passively watching.

¡Adelante!

*I'm causing trouble in Washington D.C. this week, where I've seen at least three altars of Mexican food desecration, a.k.a. Chipotle. Can't wait to get back to the Old Pueblo for some carne asada worthy of worship.
