Who Would Yanni Bomb?

HAVE YOU EVER put on some new agey music, sat back and thought about deep azure skies and exactly how you might sear that blue stretch of beauty into a turmoiled, agent-orange streaked, phosphorus misted, IED-spattered eternal war-o-rama-scape? Rage McCain sure has. And then he set it to video! Snuggle up!
Honestly, I can just see him concocting and conceptualizing this piece. "You know...I like the whole Inspiration thing Obama has going...and I love the thought of the sky because bombs fall from it...now...how can I bring the Hope thing together with the Eternal War thing? Hmmmm.
I'VE GOT IT! USE THE BLUE SKY FROM AN ALLERGY COMMERCIAL, SEPIA 16MM WARTIME SPEECHES, AND KITARO RIFFS!!!"
McCrazy, all right. And he's just putting his madness on display like the nation is psyched about 8 more years of war. Not just accepting (which is not even true) but excited as he is! Damn. Watching this rarity, I can't decide whether this is a Cosmic Piano War Porn classic, or a clip from Grandpa Goes to Film Archive Heaven. And it sort of makes you smile to think people are referring to huge waves of dedicated (Obama) support as "creepy." Because this video? From the whole Tickling the Wartime Ivories thing to the low low crowd-cam angles of the McCainiac (massive smiling head poster hanging in the commons, anyone?) and filmic comparisons to all of PawPaw's Favorite War Speeches...bro. This is "creepy" with a capital F—as we used to say on South Queen street.

McCain should have used puppies at the end. There is less chance that they might have grown up and realized, after having been drafted, that perpetual war really sucks. (Apologies to Scooby-Doo...He's smart enough)
