I Was For Praising McCain Before I Was Against It

Categorized under Unrelated Quotes | Tags: , ,

"I know Senator McCain has a lifetime of experience he will bring to the White House. And Senator Obama has a speech he made in 2002." —Hillary Clinton, March 2008
"We need a nominee that will take on John McCain, not cheer on John McCain." —Hillary Clinton, April 2008

HRC keeps doing this. Sinking her own battleship. I mean, all politicians say things at the moment to make themselves look good and their opponents look bad. They all shift around a bit. But the idea is to shift just enough to keep the light on your face...not so much that your footprints cover every inch of the floor and make you look completely unrooted or untethered to any belief or stance at all!

Bush did this sort of unwitting projection a lot, when he would talk about Tyrants Trying to Rule By Fear and Pushing Their Political Agenda Through Violence. A bit embarrassing to watch. I mean, the one who recently complained that the media was ganging up on her now tells Obama to "get out of the kitchen" if he can't take the VERY SAME THING. Er...Senator, what are you made of? Is there any substance in there? Or just political darts and an arm ready to toss at the slighest movement?

Just my amateur Political Strategerizer's opinion for the Clinton camp: If ya want to shed the "say anything to raise the polls" image, I would suggest avoiding the very obvious types of hypocrisy. At least let a few months lapse before pivoting and criticizing what you just did.
