OR... NEZUA GOES TO DENVER!

That is to say, I have been given access and credentials to attend the Democratic Convention through my affiliation and bloggership with Culture Kitchen (which is the outfit run by the talented and lovely Liza Sabater, we also have worked together on other projects). I will of course bring my other aspects, from the MTV Street Team Nez to the Unapologetic Mexi-Self, and we shall all converge as one upon the political bubbliness sure to rise up at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado.

DENVER – As part of its continuing commitment to engage a broad spectrum of audiences in new and creative ways, the Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) today announced that a record number of blogs have been credentialed as members of the media for the 2008 Democratic National Convention at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo. These blogs will help ensure that communities across the country are connected to the Convention through the eyes and ears of a growing, diverse group of online voices.

Organizers also announced that blogs credentialed by the DNCC will have access to a dedicated "Blogger Lounge" inside the Pepsi Center, equipped with televisions, technology resources and workspace to facilitate their reporting. All bloggers will have access to the Convention floor, press briefing areas, caucus meetings, filing centers and other auxiliary events open to members of the media.

"Since we began planning, one goal has been at the core of all our efforts: to engage as many communities as possible in the Convention experience. We're excited to provide bloggers with the opportunity to be the eyes and ears of so many at this Convention," said Aaron Myers, Director of Online Communications for the DNCC. "Today, we are shattering the standard we set just four years ago, when the 2004 Democratic Convention was the first to credential blogs. This year, we will more than triple the number of blogs credentialed to witness history in the making."

The credentialed blogs represent a large and diverse collection of voices and perspectives. The pool includes blogs covering national, state and local politics and those representing a variety of groups including the African American, Latino, Asian American, Native American and LGBT communities. Blogs focusing on youth issues, women's issues, labor issues, disability issues as well as those focusing on the environment and communities of faith will also be credentialed among many others.

DNCC Credentials Record Number Of Blogs To Cover 2008 Democratic National Convention In Denver

I haven't done a fundraiser this year yet. Last time I did one it was because I was in a living situation that was fraught with negative potential and I was in real need of some kind of help. Since then, I've been fortunate and hard-working enough (not Hillary's brand of Hardworking American™, though) to get by. I figured this year I would leave the fundraising to those who truly needed it, and I have.

Well, given this venture, that is me again. It is also mi amigo online and off, Kai, as he is credentialed in the same manner, and will be going. You've read him here and if you're in the cool crowd, here. I'll be fundraising for both of us and splitting whatever I raise here between us.

So from here on in, I will be periodically asking any interested readers to chip in and hit that "Donate" or "Subscribe" button below to SEND NEZUA (and KAI) TO DENVER!! (If you do, please include a note that your donación is for the DNCC trip.) I'll probably even make a new grafik or perhaps get one of those snazzy "Chipin" type button dealios so that it's all official like. Because I think this convention is bound to be interesting. So toss a coin in the hat (or not) but either way, consider me your eyes and ears and picnic box snatcher cuz if I can manage the trip, I'll be bringing it all home to dish out por mis blogmigos!

This is super groovy, and it is possible and/or likely I may have some extra $ soon-ish, and I will be glad to contribute whatever I can to two good dudes going to the DNCC.

Aha, just like I suspected, and finally you admit it up at the top of this post, you've gone in for a little clone job and now there are three of you. It's almost a religion. Well, congratulations to the Tripulation because I think this notice means you are now officially Official Press. Now if only you could get one of those high paying network anchor jobs I would even buy a TV and a satellite connection. I'd even settle for seeing you take over a cable slot. I will send off some chavo as soon as I find your address back in my files. I need to do the clone deal also. I'll be watching how that works out for the three Nez at the convention. Maybe you should ride in on a camel.
So far you and Al Giordano will be there as well as Kai. I hope somehow The Field Negro makes it there too.

Good luck in Denver. Make sure to cover any protesters, if you can.

Yay for you coming to Denver! I'll prolly throw a few bucks your way when I get paid. If you guys don't raise enough, you're free to crash on the floor of my studio apartment (glamorous, no?). but if you have any time, i'd be happy to show you around denver some afternoon, or at least buy you some drinks to show my appreciation for your blogging.

although, who knows if i'll be able to get anywhere near the pepsi center since the protestors/police presence is probably going to be ridiculous.
