High-Ranking Disturbance
Categorized under Política Estados Unidos , Race for '08 | Tags: Clinton, racism
SOME DELUDED BLOGGERS (once I may have been able to say "rightwing bloggers") insist that it is, perversely, Obama who has pulled some "race card" because they are at a loss as to how to understand certain realities, and as I've said, certain politicians have factored this willing blindness into their sly attacks.
Wake up, kids. Smell the cocoavenemous strategy.
"There have been signals coming out of the Clinton campaign that have racial overtones that indeed disturb me," Andrews said at his campaign headquarters in Cherry Hill Tuesday night after he lost his bid for the U.S. Senate nomination. "Frankly, I had a private conversation with a high-ranking person in the campaign ... that used a racial line of argument that I found very disconcerting. It was extremely disconcerting given the rank of this person. It was very disturbing."—Superdelegate says Clinton campaign used 'divisive tactics'
Thing is, those who CHOOSE not to see these dynamics will also CHOOSE not to believe this, even when coming from sources far more reliable than their own perception of such matters. El sigh.

I had been severely alienated by the racial tactics of the Clinton campaign for some time before she dropped the "he might die" line, but after that, I just tried to get the bad taste out my mouth until it was all over one way or the other. I'm not happy with all kinds of things Obama has apparently felt "forced" to do, but lawdy, miss claudy, I'm grateful he made it and pray for his safety and hope for his election. 'Cause he's the closest thing to real change I've ever seen in my whole life that close to the White House. And Michelle Obama will, I think, do more for and as a woman than Clinton would have on her best day. I wonder why this point hasn't been made more of.
