Iraqis aren't people to many of us. To so many Americans they just aren't human.

Bush just compared Iraq to our Revolutionary War without a hint of irony.

But if you read other blogs and MSM articles, it's no different. People talk about difficulties with fireworks and lack of the right party atmosphere. But no one notices that we're the British this time around.

My hope on this day is that if the wacko US federal administration, the pathetic cheesy Congress, the creepy US press, and the very lost majority of the US public ever feel the need to get rid of a "bad actor" again, they just kill him or her and let it go at that.
And if the real goal is cheap oil, couldn't we just have paid a nice little personal billion or two to Saddam Hussein and have him let us drop those oil straws down the well and suck it up?
Nezua, I think very highly of your note. But I couldn't help thinking of the note I would write from here, one of the other colonies of the American Empire, and what I would say, right after the "Dear America, I don't know why I thought of you today" part. Because I do think of the US every day and the fate of the US appears to me to be one that may very well be just as sad as the Iraqi fate. Insane individuals are in charge. What more need be said?
And to the other commenters who may choose to point out that it was the US that created the Saddam Hussein monster, yes, I know. It seems to be a standard operating procedure. If I am not mistaken, Osama Bin Laden was also once a US geopolitical pet.
I've often wondered just what it would take for the US population to leap out of their slow boil frog soup and escape the death knell. There's about six months left to jump my friends. Shake off that drowsiness, the end is truly near.
